PayPal suing Google over new mobile payment services Wallet and Offers

paypal-google lawsuit mobile payments

Well, it likely wasn’t going to be long before we saw PayPal get all up in a huff over Google’s new mobile payment services in Google Wallet and Google Offers, but I didn’t think it would be the next day! LOL

Anyway, Google hired some of PayPal’s old staff to run their mobile payment and Point-of-sale technology projects, which should have been the eye opener right there. Stephanie Tilenius and Osama Bedier are both working for Google after leaving PayPal, and accoriding to PayPal, have ‘shared trade secrets about mobile payment to Google’. The suit also states that Tilenius violated her contract with PayPal in hiring Bedier at Google as well, just to stir the pot a bit more.

Have to say, just looking at these few details doesn’t give Google a good image. More to come no doubt.
