Rent Warner Bros. Movies on Facebook

• 08/03/2011

Warner Bros. has figured out a new way to make even more money: by renting out movies via Facebook. Beginning today, users in the United States will be able to watch movies right on their official Facebook pages for $3 or 30 Facebook Credits. The first movie with this option available is Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, but more will be added soon.

Viewers have the option to watch the movie in full screen, pause it, and resume when they log back in to Facebook (they will have access to the movie for 48 hours). They will also be able to post comments on the movie, as well as interact with friends and update their status while watching.

What will they think of next? Watching movies on our phones? Oh wait.
