Youths prefer BlackBerry Messenger over regular texting

blackberry messenger over texting

A new report is out from research group Mobile Youth, which polls youths (ages 15 – 24) over which platform they prefer to use for instant messaging. The results are in favor of instant messaging apps, rather than plain texting. BlackBerry Messenger is probably the largest instant messaging app for a smartphone with over 39 million users, slowly making texting a thing of the past.

No doubt this is something RIM already knows, which is why they would do very well release BBM for Android and iOS devices for a small fee.
