T-Mobile Acquisition FAQs say ‘No iPhone’

• 21/03/2011

So the big news about T-Mobile’s acquisition by AT&T from Deutsche Telekom has brought up questions from customers on both sides.  To address these questions, T-Mobile has posted a list of FAQs and answers for their customers about this not-so-little buy out.

What was the top FAQ you wonder?  Is the Apple iPhone coming to T-Mobile now that AT&T is in the picture?  And the answer?

Well, not any time soon, apparently.

Here’s the word – straight from the FAQ:

T-Mobile USA remains an independent company. The acquisition is expected to be completed in approximately 12 months. We do not offer the iPhone. We offer cutting edge devices like the Samsung Galaxy S 4G and coming soon our new Sidekick 4G.”

So what does this mean?  Well, let’s wait and see what happens when the acquisition is completed in 12 months.  They may not offer the iPhone now but a lot can change once the papers are signed and the checks have cleared.
