Latest rumours claim Apple will announce its new iPhone 5 on 4th October

• 23/09/2011

With a huge amount of speculation and rumour out there regarding the impending release of the new Apple Tablet and smartphone, the latest claim that Apple will be announcing the release date of its new iPhone 5 on the 4th October has apparently come from sources working closely with the company.

The source is claiming that not only will Apple be announcing the release of its highly anticipated iPhone 5, which is expected to go on sale in mid October, but that the event will be presented by the new Apple CEO, Tim Cook.

Also expected at the event are Apple executives Eddy Cue, Phil Schiller and Scott Forstall, who will be there to support Cook in his first ever appearance as lead presenter.

As with any other rumour currently circulating, the source has advised that the dates for the announcement and the release of the iPhone 5 should be accurate but may be open to change by Apple.

This means that like all the other rumours that are flying about regarding the new iPhone handset, the only way to know for sure is to wait for the 4th of October to arrive.
