Is Apple almost out of iPads?

• 01/04/2011

Apple is having a hard time keeping up with the demand for its iPad 2 tablets as well as the original iPad. Since the iPad 2 came out, the original iPad was marked down to $300. Since then, the Apple store has ran out of the 16GB Wi-Fi version, which accounts for 30% of the sales of all the models of iPads put together. Just for knowledge sake, the 64 GB model is the least selling iPad. As the Apple store started running out, so did retailers who still has iPad stocked. So if you’re looking for a $300 iPad, better look now, because they’ll be gone before you know it, or you’ll be stuck having to buy a 64GB wi-Fi/3G version for the max price. May as well buy the iPad 2 then.

Talk about knowing how to keep demand high for your products…deplete them until you release the next model the following year.
