Apple’s flagship iPhone is now responsible for over 50% of their total revenue stream after financial reports came in for Q2 2011. This is up from 33% in Q4 2010, and 39% in Q1 2011. Apple sold 18.65 million iPhones in the last quarter, and pulled in $24.6 billion dollars in revenue for the last quarter as well across the board.

That 50% of revenue from the iPhone includes the hardware itself, third party licensing, accessories, and carrier agreements, but does not include app revenue from the iTunes store, iPod Touch or iPad. Pretty staggering numbers, and no wonder Apple is after anyone who tries to copy their stuff, it’s worth 50% of their ‘intellectual’ companies total value!
