iPhone 4S Costs Just $203 to Make !

Now that the prices for the customers are available, analysts have been trying to work out the production costs for the newly unveiled iPhone 4S.

According to a recent report Apple is paying around $203 for the 32 GB version of iPhone 4S; the same handset costs customers around $749 without a carrier contract.

The cost estimate comes from UBM TechInsights, via CNet.com, whose figure for the iPhone 4S is roughly the same amount that Apple paid last year to manufacture the iPhone 4. The costing included the new additions to the iPhone’s features, such as $26 for the A5 processor, as well as $31 for the Retina Display.

The support of top US wireless carriers, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, will bring iPhone 4S to customers for subsidised prices of $199 (16 GB), $299 (32 GB) and $399 (64 GB) and the deal will come with a two-year agreement.

Many of the interested subscribers will renew their contracts or will sign new ones so as to avoid the prices for the unlocked iPhone 4S. Prices of $649, $749 and $849 might seem a bit too high for users who declared they would happily make the purchase, but that was for the anticipated iPhone 5.
