iPad gets Opera Mini, finally

• 12/02/2011

Opera has been on the iPhone for a while now, and exploring tablets since CES but seemed to be shunning the iPad, probably leaving it with hurt feelings.  Well, all that’s about to change.

Opera announced in a press release that they would be unveiling a new version of Opera Mini on a number of platforms at MWC this year.  That includes Android, iPhone, J2ME, BlackBerry, Symbian, and the iPad.

Nothing has been said – yet – about what the iPad version of Opera Mini would include, or when it would be released, but we can speculate that it will feature some of the same smooth zoom and multiple-page grid that was previewed on Opera for tablets.

Check out the full press release here.
