iPad 2 having FaceTime issues – users reporting

• 30/03/2011

It appears that the Apple forums have been lighting up a bit over a new issue some have seen using the FaceTime app on the iPad 2. This isn’t the first problem with the iPad 2 users have been reporting either, as there have been Wi-Fi connectivity issues as well. Here are some comments posted regarding the FaceTime issue from those experiencing it;

“When I opened up FaceTime the first time, the camera was working fine, but now whenever I open it up, it just shows a still image from when I left, How can I fix it?,”

“It happens quite frequently, Restarting the ipad fixes the problem, BUT, it happens again with in the next two to three times i go to use it.”

While some have fixed the issue by resetting the application, or resetting the iPad2 back to factory settings, the fact remains that there is still some weirdness happening on some users iPads that shouldn’t be there. Apple will likely address the issue if it gets big enough, as they actively monitor their forums for things just like this.
