vodafone sony xperia play delay

If you were waiting for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play device to hit Vodafone in New Zealand, you may be waiting a while longer. While customers in Canada and the US enjoy hitting Crash Bandicoot during the local bus ride, somebody stole an entire shipment of Sony Xperia Play smartphones headed for Vodafone for a launch soon to follow.

There hasn’t been an exact number reported, but we can assume it’s more than a box full, as this was the entire Vodafone supply for New Zealand. Bummer! Watch the local flea market for ‘unlocked’ and ‘unopened’ Xperia Play’s, it’ll likely be hot.
