Sony Ericsson making a Windows Phone 7 device – leaked images

• 07/03/2011

Sony Ericsson mentioned last year that they would be making a Windows Phone 7 device, but we haven’t heard anything about it lately, especially since they announced several new Ericsson Xperia handsets at MWC 2011, all of which running Google’s Android OS. Here we see that Sony is finally taking the WP7 plunge into the deep merky waters of mobile market share, and although they’re Xperia line of handsets is doing very well with Android, it’s not unwise to want to explore other parts of the market share as well.

As you can see, the handset above features a full sliding QWERTY, and touchscreen, which looks very similar to the Sony Xperia Pro, but without the nice curved edges around the top and bottom of the body. Looks to be about the same size, so it’s likely around the 3.7 inch display with 854×480 resolution, up to 4.0 inches possibly. No doubt also sporting an 8 megapixel cam on theback, with a 2 megapixel front facing camera, but we’ll have to wait for an official spec sheet on that stuff, as well as pricing and launch dates…if they ever launch.
