Samsung to showcase Honeycomb 10.1″ Galaxy Tab 2 Sunday?

• 12/02/2011

As Samsung is getting ready to host their MWC 2011 presentation on Sunday at 6PM Central European Time (midday on Eastern Standard Time on the American side) rumors are flying that they will be showing a brand new Galaxy Tab 2 that will rival the competition and perhaps even blow it out of the water.

Pocket-lint is sharing details that it will be a 10.1-inch Android 3.0 device.  Sounds comparable to the Motorola Xoom, right?

The new Galaxy Tab 2 is reportedly smaller than the Apple iPad, though sporting a bigger display.  Also a dual-core Qualcomm processor is said to be what powers the new Samsung Tablet device, though more surprising and less believable considering their own proprietary Orion and Exynos chips would make more sense.

Once Samsung graces the stage at MWC 2011 we’ll know for sure just what is in store for the Galaxy Tab successor.  We’ll be sure to report the details right here.
