samsung Galaxy S II dual-core

The Samsung Galaxy S II will be sporting a 1.2GHz processor speed, which was bumped up by 200MHz. At launch we were told it would be a 1GHz dual-core. Samsung Estonia has said that it’ll be shipping this way going forward, but we haven’t heard from Samsung HQ whether this is fact or not. The extra speed on a dual-core system is definitely going to improve its overall performance, but it may actually be a little harder on the battery life in the end. Whether some find that worth it or not is in the eye of the beholder.
