Samsung answers back against Apple lawsuit – commence mudslinging

• 20/04/2011

Yesterday we reported that Apple was suing Samsung for stealing their intellectual property by releasing products which have an uncanny resemblance to their Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Now it seems Samsung is ready to retaliate and slap Apple with a counter-claim alleging Apple “has violated our patents in communications standards” which was a statement made by Chung Jae-woong, a spokesperson at Samsung Electronics.

Here’s more of what Samsung had to say regarding the Apple lawsuit against them;

Samsung will respond actively to this legal action taken against us through appropriate legal measures to protect our intellectual property, Apple is one of our key buyers of semiconductors and display panels. However, we have no choice but respond strongly this time.

So, Spring appears to be the season for lawsuits, and we’ll watch at the sidelines as the mudslinging contest continues.
