Rumored Amazon Tablet device should ship in fall 2011

• 03/05/2011

There was a little rumor that came out a few days back that Amazon was looking to launch their own branded Tablet device, most likely running a version of Android. This device would have custom Amazon syncing built in for kindle eBooks, Amazon’s cloud music service, and other Amazon product placements, thus bringing Amazon’s idea of having everything that much closer to competing with Google and Apple for world domination.

DigiTimes has sources now stating that this Tablet device will be coming out, and most likely will be available in the second half of 2011, which I’ll come out and say will most likely be right before ‘Black Friday’ to maximize launch sales. The rumor also states that Quanta is the company charged with the manufacturing deal for the Amazon Tablet and has received production orders for 700,000 – 800,000 units per month. Could Amazon be looking to dump the Kindle in place of this new Tablet?
