Following on from the LU2300 QWERTY which was released last year by LG, users living in Korea will soon be able to get their hands on its brand new smartphone, the LG Optimus Q2 QWERTY.
This new addition to the already substantial collection of smartphones from LG will come with a four-inch, In-Plane Switching (IPS) LCD that provides exceptional viewing angles, a 1.2GHz Tegra 2 processor, a VGA camera in the front and a 5 mega-pixel camera in the rear. This model will also be shipping with the latest Android 2.3 OS and will have access to a huge range of apps from the Android marketplace.
Cosmetically, the new Optimus Q2 will be a slight improvement on its predecessor with a keyboard that is slightly wider and the handset itself will also be lighter by 0.35 ounces and thinner by 0.1 inches.
Strangely, with just one week to go before launch date the only information that appears to be missing is the pricing for the handset and the plans on offer so it looks like users will have to wait until release day to see if it is worth upgrading their existing handsets.
