Microsoft seeking Android developers to port apps to WP7 – woo devs

The Microsoft “App Guy” tool is aimed at giving developers assistance in porting their apps from iOS and Android over to WP7 platforms. A couple months back, the tool helped some iOS devs get their apps over, and now Microsoft realizes they need to increase their app numbers if they want to continue getting people to move into a Windows Phone 7 device. That seems to be the main concern people have about making the switch is the lack of thousands of apps to choose from as seen in iOS and Android devices.

I hope devs take this and run with it as WP7 really is a great mobile OS, and when Mango comes out, it’ll only get better. We’ll see how this pans out.
