LG’s Optimus Pad at MWC, another G-Slate?

• 05/02/2011

In a Korean press release LG informed the world that they would be announcing the LG Optimus Pad Tablet at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this month.  This is exciting news for LG as they only recently confirmed details about the LG G-Slate specs and word is the Optimus Pad will essentially be the European version of the G-Slate.

Here’s a refresher on some of those features, if indeed they are as similar:

  • NVIDIA Tegra 2, dual-core processor
  • 8.9-inch, WXGA display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution and 3D capabilities
  • 32GB of internal storage
  • 6,400mAh battery
  • front-facing camera
  • full 1080p video playback
  • HDMI-out port
  • Google’s Honeycomb (Android 3.0) operating system

Sounds pretty sweet, right?  We’ll find out for sure as Mobile World Congress kicks off in just a few more days.
