LG Revolution is out with Verizon – hands on images

lg revolution verizon LTE

Looking at the new LG Revolution, it’s definately got some potential to stand next to the HTC Thunderbolt, both devices being Verizon 4G/LTE devices of course. If you’re part of the Verizon 4G coverage that is going live on June 16th, you now have a choice for LTE devices.

The nice thing about this device is that it’s actually a bit thinner than the HTC Thunderbolt, but then the other features start to get lost ion the Thunderbolt’s large shadow of features. The LG Revolution is priced at $249.99 on a 2 year contract, which is far more tha the more powerful HTC Thunderbolt at Amazon for $130. It comes with Android 2.2 Froyo instead of the latest Gingerbread OS (we don’t know why), a 4.3 inch display, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 1.3 megapixel front cam, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, BING built in functionality, and 4G LTE connectivity. The only real bonus here is the 16GB MicroSD card Verizon is throwing in with it, which seems to me you’re already paying for it at the $249 price tag anyway. Again, a quick look on Amazon will find you the same card for $20.

Not sure what they are after with this device, but they have better devices already on sale with Android, and cheaper too. Our advice? Go to the store and hold it in your hands before buying this, hold it next to the HTC Thunderbolt, and make your decision.
