INQ Cloud Touch Android ‘facebook phone’ launched – hands on details

• 10/02/2011

Remember when we were hearing about there being a “Facebook” phone in production, then facebook quickly denounced that claim that they were building a Facebook phone? Well, that has all come to light now. INQ has made a couple of phones that do centralize the Facebook app more than any other apps. It’s not branded with Facebook logos, or colored with “Facebook” color schemes, but it definitely adds more features at your fingertips than other Facebook apps out there for standard Android smartphones.

The INQ Cloud Touch is a smartphone centered around Facebook, running an Android 2.2 FroYo OS base. It has a 3.5 inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, loudspeaker on back, system info button, media buttons, 600MHz Qualcomm processor and access to Market apps. Overall, Engadget reports that they are happy with the responsiveness and performance of the mid-range device with regards to its lower specs when compared to other new smartphones coming out. Aside from that, the extra Facebook functionality makes this a great social networking smartphone, with access to other networking apps as well. It’s expected to launch in the UK first in April, and should be easy on the wallet as well.
