Google has officially announced the next Android OS version to be called Ice Cream Sandwich, which we had told you about back in early January here. We like when our stories work out to be true! LOL.

Also, like we had heard, this new Android version was going to be designed with the intent of uniting features of Gingerbread and Honeycomb. It’ll do that and then some. This OS will be available for tablets and smartphones alike, and should start rolling out to supported devices in Q4 2011!

Here’s some shots from the Google I/O keynote when they announced this OS.
